Construction
Construction takes the detailed direction provided by architecture and carries it through construction plans or drawings and makes the project come to life.
The Passion
An essential part of fulfilling one's dream with a facility is to maintain focus on all issues important to the Owner. At Sholar Construction, there is sense of pride in delivering the project in its final form on schedule, on budget and with a high quality of workmanship.
The Experience
While architecture develops a piece of 3-dimensional sculpture, construction casts the sculpture in place. Looking at a project two dimensionally on paper or even in a 3-D rendering is one thing, but to see the project come to life is something else. Excitement builds as the project gets to a point where one can walk through the rooms and gain a feel for how the operations will flow. When the interior finishes process begins, the design of the interior begins to speak. The interaction of colors and textures which were once only visualized through small samples, now take on the personality of the organization. Enthusiasm and anticipation grows for those who will soon be located in the new space or building. Once the moving vans depart and the boxes are unpacked, the employees have a genuine sense of pride in sharing their space with others outside the organization.
The Process
Reliability is the hallmark of everything we do at Sholar. We carefully track the schedule and costs on a consistent basis through weekly project meetings with the Owner, our project managers and pertinent subcontractors to discuss the project's progress. We look closely at essential information critical to the project's success, such as the work coming up in the next two weeks, construction materials that have to be ordered well in advance of when they are needed, coordinating equipment the Owner might be providing, and tracking open items needing decisions.
The Owner is actively involved and apprised of what is happening on the project on a weekly basis throughout the construction process. Although construction has the lead at this point, architecture still plays an active role in reviewing the progress and answering questions...
Once the project is completed, the Owner receives all relevant information relating to equipment and building systems that is necessary to properly maintaining those items for years to come. This information includes a one-year warranty and documentation for manufacturers' warranties.
The Team
Our construction team is a diverse and talented group of individuals with the ability to provide expertise on a number of project types. They take their job seriously in providing you a quality project in the time frame needed and within the agreed upon budget.
