Interior Design

The interior design is in harmony with the Owner's intent for the exterior architecture of the facility. Our process incorporates appropriate finishes and colors that optimize the quality, functionality and visual impact of the interior of the sculpture Sholar has created for our Client.

The Passion

In the interior architecture and the interior design, one does not only focus on each part and piece, but senses the overall feeling and flow of the space. What is seen and felt are the benefits of all of the physical elements---such as the warmth of the sun through the sunlight or the smoothness of the finely finished wood as your hand moves across the counter top.

Interior Architecture

The interior architecture uses the space to develop the function and to bring it to an even higher level. The orchestrated elements are lighting, forms of the ceilings and walls, doors and window openings, and furniture and equipment, all of which positively impact the finished product. This effect can be warm and friendly, fast and efficient, technologically on the cutting edge, or a combination of them to satisfy the Owner's objectives. The use of natural or artificial light can change the feeling of the space dramatically with the flip of a switch. The way the ceiling heights vary can give people a sense of security, comfort, openness, or grandeur as the function defines the volume and space. Also, the shape of walls and relationships between one wall and another creates the flow of the space and stimulates occupants or visitors to move through certain spaces or to pause and enjoy.

Interior Design

The interior design puts "the icing on the cake". The actual touchable, seeable elements in the space are achieved through textures, colors, and patterns that bring life to the entire sculpture Sholar has created. This is the finale and also the culmination of the great care and attention that has been essential throughout the entire process.

Awards

We typically do not enter award competitions, but Sholar has received top honors with our interior design. We are proud to have been honored with the First Place Interior Design Award for a commercial project over 10,000 square feet given by American Society of Interior Designers in the State of Colorado.
